"Abstract
The research "The leadership of President Dilma Rousseff in the international media: an analysis of newspaper Le Monde, El Pais and New York Times" aims to study the coverage of the first year of the new presidential term Brazilian who started on January 1, 2011 the three main sites of international coverage, the Spanish El País, the American New York Times and the French Le Monde. After eight years in the exercise of power, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT) left the presidency of Brazil with a high national popularity and immense international visibility. In this sense, we intend to study what will be the highlight of the successor Dilma Rousseff in the international media. In the first year in office, President Dilma Rousseff began a path of apparent break with the conduct of former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
